S-OIL holds “2013 Champions Club Award” ceremony

 

● S-OIL named Ssangyong Service Station and other 44 service stations and filling stations as winners of the “2013 S-OIL Champions Club Award.”
● Ssangyong Service Station won the grand prize in recognition of its excellence in improving customer services, including the introduction of facilities enabling car washing even in the freezing temperature of 20 below zero.


Sssangyong Service Station (representative: Nam Cheol-jung) in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province was named as the best S/S by S-OIL in 2013. It earned good recognition from customers by offering car washing services even when most service stations could not provide services due to frozen facilities amid a prolonged, harsh cold spell of minus 20 degrees Celsius last year. The service station prevented car washing facilities from becoming frozen by installing automatic doors at the entrance and exit of a car wash in advance.


The refiner held the “2013 S-OIL Champions Club Award” ceremony at Hyatt Regency Incheon on April 17 to confer the grand prize on Ssangyong S/S for improving customer services and demonstrating outstanding business performance. In addition, other 39 service stations and five filling stations were also named as winners of the S-OIL Champions Club Award and received Champions Club trophies and souvenirs, etc. 


In particular, this year, apart from customer services and sales performance, S-OIL selected two service stations and granted awards for their outstanding volunteer services. These service stations have actively been practicing the spirit of sharing, one of S-OIL’s shared values, thereby setting a good example of volunteer work in the local community.


“S-OIL has got to where it is today thanks to service station and filling station operators’ creative and dedicated efforts,” said S-OIL CEO Nasser Al-Mahasher at the ceremony, expressing his gratitude to them. “We’ll enhance various support programs in order to help service station and filling station operators who do their best in the adverse economic environment.”


S-OIL is ramping up efforts to expand its domestic market share by helping its affiliated service stations and filling stations to strengthen their competitiveness through diverse support programs, such as the Champions Club Award. Furthermore, the refiner is creating a customer-friendly brand image based on the friendly advertising campaign harnessing the Goo Doil character.
