S-OIL has sponsored an orchestra of performers with disabilities for 18 years.

- It supports cultural and artistic activities of performers with disabilities and contributes to their employment stability.

S-OIL (CEO Anwar Al-Hejazi) on April 20 held the “Sunshine Sharing Concert” at its headquarters in Mapo, Seoul, to mark Disability Day, and donated 100 million won to the Heart-to-Heart Foundation (Chairman Oh Ji-chul) in support of an orchestra for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The donation will be used to train orchestra members with developmental disabilities as cultural and arts instructors, as well as to provide disability awareness education programs for students and the general public.

The Heart-to-Heart Foundation established the nation’s first orchestra composed of performers with developmental disabilities in 2006, with the aim of fostering the talents and social participation of youth with disabilities. S-OIL has been sponsoring the Heart-to-Heart Foundation for 18 years since 2009, supporting the cultural activities of individuals with disabilities and raising awareness about disabilities, thereby contributing to the promotion of cultural and artistic activities for people with disabilities and raising public awareness. In particular, since 2025, the company has supported the establishment and operation of a standard workplace for persons with disabilities for the orchestra, helping to enhance employment stability for its members.

Through these efforts, S-OIL has participated in the “Certification System for Excellent Companies in Cultural and Artistic Sponsorship,” organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Council Korea, since 2020, and has been certified as an excellent company annually.

“The music created together by members of the orchestra with developmental disabilities is truly beautiful and deeply moving,” S-OIL CEO Anwar Al-Hejazi said, adding, “We will continue to support young people with developmental disabilities who have musical talent so they can pursue their dreams while fulfilling our corporate social responsibility.”
