S-OIL successfully held the “Marathon of Inspiration” on October 4 at World Cup Park in Mapo, Seoul. Sponsored by S-OIL and organized by Rehabilitation International Korea, the event brought together around 2,300 participants with and without disabilities, who competed in 5 km, 10 km and half-marathon races. 

The event was designed to promote social inclusion and improve public awareness of people with disabilities through sports. Korean marathon legend Lee Bong-joo joined the race as honorary team leader and also held an autograph session. A total of 36 runners received awards across the three race categories, with prizes presented by Lee, KSRPD President W.H. Na and S-OIL General Affairs Division Head K.S. Seo. 

S-OIL said the marathon provides a meaningful opportunity for people with and without disabilities to run together, build mutual understanding and connect with one another. 

The company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the social participation and independence of people with disabilities and to continuing CSR initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive society.
