On Jul. 15th, S-OIL CEO Anwar A. Al-Hejazi and the Company’s management welcomed the newly elected Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City, Sangwook Kim, to S-OIL head office in Seoul, Korea.

The meeting featured productive discussions on strengthening Ulsan's petrochemical ecosystem through the Shaheen Project and supporting the city's vision of becoming a Northeast Asian energy logistics hub and a leading industrial AX.

Mayor Kim emphasized Ulsan City's commitment to fostering a business- and investment-friendly environment built on a strong administrative framework. He also reassured continued support for the successful start-up of the Shaheen Project and S-OIL's future investment initiatives. Both parties also shared their commitment to working together to further advance Ulsan into a more sustainable, well-balanced, and globally competitive industrial city.

Since its establishment in 1976, S-OIL has operated its refinery in Ulsan contributing to the city's economic growth while supporting local communities through a wide range of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
